2. What we collect

3. What we do not collect

4. Public records are the product

Overassessed is built from county assessment rolls and recorded sales — records that your county already publishes. Our copies of those records include parcel characteristics, values, and owner names as published by the county. We use owner names only for record-matching and document preparation, and we do not display owner names on public pages of the Service. Looking up a property does not notify its owner and does not change any county record.

5. Payment processor data

Purchases are handled by our payment processor (Stripe). Stripe collects your payment details directly; we receive limited metadata such as session ID, purchase status, and transaction dates. Stripe may send you a receipt for your purchase. Your payment information is governed by Stripe's privacy policy and security practices.

6. AI provider data handling

When a purchased packet is prepared, the pre-computed figures and comparables in your case file are sent to an AI inference provider to draft the cover-letter text. We do not authorize our AI provider to use this data to train models unless we expressly disclose that practice and obtain any consent required by law. The AI provider does not receive your payment details.

7. Service providers and sub-processors

We use service providers to operate Overassessed, including hosting, database, payment processing, AI inference, and security providers. We require service providers to process personal information only as needed to provide services to us, maintain security, prevent abuse, comply with law, and support business operations. A current list of material sub-processors is available on reasonable written request to tom@phase3ai.com.

8. How we use information

We do not use personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

9. Case links

Your case page is reached through a unique, unguessable link shown to you after a lookup or purchase. Anyone with the link can view that case, so keep it private. If sign-in protection is added to case pages in the future, it will use third-party sign-in (such as Google or Microsoft); we will not store passwords.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of certain personal information, and to appeal certain privacy decisions. To exercise these rights, email tom@phase3ai.com. We will respond within 30 days and may verify your request — for example, by confirming control of the case link or the purchasing payment method.

11. Retention

Case records are retained so you can return to your case page during and after the appeal cycle. You may request deletion at any time. Public-record datasets (assessment rolls and sales) are not personal data we delete on request — they are the county's published records, refreshed on the county's cycle.

12. Security

We use reputable hosting and database providers, encrypt data in transit, restrict access to case data to systems that need it, and keep server-side credentials out of the browser. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.

13. Children

Overassessed is for adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

14. Do Not Track and opt-out signals

We do not track users across third-party websites, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to opt out of. We honor applicable legal requirements for recognized opt-out preference signals.

15. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy over time and will maintain a dated archive of each version. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date before they take effect.
